Collaborated on a four-student research team to investigate how Tourette’s-like auditory distractions affect cognitive performance, examining P300 EEG amplitude, reaction time, and task accuracy across 18 participants.
Reviewed and cited scientific literature on event-related potentials, including the P300 and related EEG components, to develop the project’s background and support the team’s experimental reasoning.
Collected electrophysiological data with a Muse EEG headband and applied statistical significance testing to evaluate three experimental hypotheses.
Synthesized the team’s methods, results, and interpretation into a formal research poster presented to Notre Dame faculty and peers.
